Film Brief:

Hitachi chose Newton Aycliffe as the site for its £82m rail manufacturing factory which opene in 2015. At that time, it was the first new Hitachi rail factory outside Japan.

The company has created 730 permanent jobs at the factory, and last year spent more than £20m with local suppliers employing thousands of local people.

This was a one of several films for a campaign for Durham County Council to promote County Durham as one of the country’s best places in which to live and work
